| Soriku said: For larger publishers, possibly a higher budget. The Vita is like a PS3-lite; instead of developing a console-like game for Vita with a large budget, they'd rather make a PS3/360 or PS4/XBO game instead. |
but thats just it, if the ease of development is to be believed, developing on Vita has to be the cheapest way to make a game around. The system is built for 3rd Parties who are already making big PS3/PS4 games. Its made so they can utilize same to similar engine structure to make a smaller but equal game on Vita. ACL isn't the same as building a game from scratch for a different system, it used mostly the same assets as AC3 did, which is totally fine.
As happy as some are for Borderlands 2 on Vita, I was hoping for a spin off of its own. Borderlands 2:*insert 2nd Title here* if you will. Then it would be an original title worth diving back into for existing buyers, but doesn't require much added dev time.
At the end of the day Sony was giving Devs the chance to build 2 games for just a tad over the price of one, leading to more sales.
