Let me try to rephrase this...Your preferences are in tune with the popular opinion on "forums". The very 3D Mario you put in your comparison is not even considered "real 3D" Mario by your contemporaries. Also less time on the market compared to 3D Land, much lesser bundling and misicule marketing and development budget compared to 3D games that get all the attention from Nintendo.
