With 3D Mario, a first time player gets lost because no one is telling them where to go and what to do.

You are basically saying that 2D Mario is an exciting game while 3D Mario is boring and lame, but the way you are saying it obviously sounds better to you.


Did I say ANYTHING like that? No, I simply said that it's easier for someone who hasn't played games before to go in one direction than to have this vast, open world where there isn't a clear goal to accomplish.
