No I haven't played it. It just occured to me that you wouldn't have that problem in stereoscopic 3D, so if the engine came from 3D land they might not have fixed these lack of depth illusion issues. It happens in multiplayer when the camera is at a 90 degree angle making it look like a 2D platform game. Not a problem in single player where you can rotate the camera to get a better view.
