The "Mario Kart" level in 3D World is a better 3D Sonic than Sega's ever made

Don't exactly know why the comparison.  

Cos both are platformers that move at high speed, but where with Sonic control and momentum were mutually exclusive, the Mario Kart level shows how we can have both.
A Sonic game built on a similar design could be awesome.
