I read what you quoted and I agree with Seece. That you're assuming that he is only basing this of the UK sales, while in the last 2 weeks both MS and Sonys console launched to much higher numbers than the Wii U in the US as well, is stretching it very much. And even if he was basing it on UK only, then it would still be a reasonable enough thing to say since the UK is the market that most resembles the biggest market in the world, the US market. Also mainland Europe has pretty much shunned the Wii U since release, while going crazy about the PS4 and also giving the X1 a good launch compared to the Wii U.

All in all Seece's post makes a pretty reasonable assumption at this point, certainly way more reasonable than your "UK is not important, Japan matters (present tense) more" claim, no reason to get rude.
