I kinda get what you mean, curl-6. When I first saw the trailer reveal of that game, I was like "WTF!? You're taking us from the awesomeness that was the Mario Galaxy titles, to this uber generic stuff?"
But as time went by, the game looked better and better, new trailer after new trailer.
Until a point where the hype peaked to a level few games have done in recent time.
I finally got it this week and have been playing for the last 3 days.
At first, I was concerned by the lack of difficulty in the game. But all the damn levels were so much fun, so creative and full of charm, never repetitive... There were some minor challenging parts here and there, but nothing really tough. Until I reached a certain point, later in the game.
Now, I'm even happier with the game than I was at first. I've been feeling like a kid ever since I started playing, now, it's just... beyond awesome!! I love the Miiverse integration, and the inclusion of Mii ghosts when you replay levels. It's not like playing with online players, but it's nice to see how people play. You can actually find some tricks and secrets when doing so. Neat idea. And the comments some people post are sometime really funny. It's also always nice to be that guy who lends a hand to someone who can't find that particular star...
I Also got to try the local multiplayer mode when Iwent to play with one of my friends yesterday. Multiplayer is some uber crazy fun!! Bringing my Wii U over to my family on Christmas Eve will make for some amazing gaming moments!
