Nintendo would rather sell horribly for 5 more years and then release a new console than betray customers like me. Now, the only way I could see them discountuining the Wii U and releasing a new console is if us wii u owners could trade our wii u's in and get a MASSIVE discount on the new console. And I think that the new console would have to be compatible with wii u gamepad/wii motes/wii u pro controller (as it's main "hardcore" controller) and be able to play Wii, Wii U, and the Wii 3 games.
