I think the Wii U may surprise us this holiday; Nintendo have started to more actively market, especially towards families (who, let's face it; are much more likely to buy a console in winter than any other time of year), the games library is starting to fill out and the bundles and price cuts make it look a much more affordable proposition (and again, families are incredibly price sensitive, especially around the holidays).

And let's not forget that the X1 and PS4 aren't out in Japan yet. People wanting a home console this winter in Japan basically have the choice of PS3 or Wii U, that could make a huge difference to how it fares.

I'm not going to put any predictions on this (first post and all), but I think the Wii U may just surprise us all this winter.

At least I hope it does, I want EA to make a U-turn (geddit?) in time for Dragonage Inquisition so I don't have to buy another new console.
