It can be top i 10 because people buy only their exclusives in Nintendo systems but not 3rd party games. Now, see the what is happening with Wii U which is lacking 3rd party support. Playstation and Xbox exclusives sells less that Nintendo games because users have choices with many games to buy so their money is spent based on that but Nintendo users don't have and buy 3rd party games much in their console so they left with only one choice of buying Nintendo games only which is why its gets more sales.

Well i bought the Wii U not caring about any third party support on Wii U. Heck i think i have one third party game and even that is a Wii U exclusive. Now think for a second how much we argue over xbone and ps4 while playing the same games 90% of the time.

I can't even bother buying xbox or playstation systems just based on first party support only. Something that people willfully do when it comes to Nintendo systems. The appeal of their software is stronger than first party competition from Sony and Microsoft.

Also most Nintendo gamers who care about playing those "superior" 3rd party games, also have some other supliment system. I have a ps3/pc to play those games. Rest of the Nintendo crowd won't bother with Shooter X/Y as much gamers on psxbo do even when the option is provided as you can see in the case of Wii's COD sales compared to 360, etc.

Kind of faulty reasoning to assume people just buy Nintendo games because they have nothing else to buy. We love in the world of excessive and oversaturated entertainment available at the click of a button. At least that is my take on it.
