Nintendo has been really struggling to get any software out on Wii U in the last year. Very different from the Wii where there were new games all the time.

I'm not sure if this is actually true. Looking back at the last three Nintendo consoles, this is their Nintendo software (published anyway) from launch November to their second November:

Wii (Nov.2006-Nov.2007) 10 titles

Wii Sports

Wii Play

Super Paper Mario

Metroid Prime 3

Fire Emblem

Mario Party 7

Wario Ware: Smooth Moves

Excite Truck

Super Mario Galaxy

Zelda: Twlight Princess

Wii U (Nov. 2012-Nov.2013) 13 titles

Nintendo Land

New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U

Pikmin 3

Super Mario 3D World

Wii Fit U (downloadable version)

LEGO City Undercover

The Wonderful 101

Mario & Sonic Sochii Olympics

Game & Wario

Wii Party U

Sing Party!

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge

 GameCube (Nov.2001-Nov.2002) 10 titles

Super Smash Bros. Melee

Luigi’s Mansion

Pikmin

Wave Race: Blue Storm

Super Mario Sunshine

NBA Courtside 2002

Eternal Darkness

Star Fox Adventures

Mario Party

Animal Crossing

Metroid Prime

I didn't include Wii Sports Club for Wii U either, though I suppose I could.

By my count it is Wii 16 Nintendo IPs vs Wii U's 6 (Or 17 and 7 if you include Mario and Sonic Olympics).

A lot of the Wii U games you mentioned are Demos, third party game - most of which are not even using Nintendo IPs:

Wii U (Nov. 2012-Nov.2013) 13 titles

Nintendo Land

New Super Mario Bros. U + New Super Luigi U

Pikmin 3

Super Mario 3D World

Wii Fit U (downloadable version) - DEMO - and the final game will mostly an expansion since it is Wii Fit & Wii Fit+ with some new content.

LEGO City Undercover - WARNER BROTHERS

The Wonderful 101 - PLATINUM GAMES

Mario & Sonic Sochii Olympics - SEGA - And you left off the Wii Mario and Sonic Olympics also released in that time period, so you would likely agree with this.

Game & Wario

Wii Party U

Sing Party! - ACTIVISION

Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge - TECMO

On the Wii list, you skipped out several Nintendo IPs including:

Super Paper Mario

Big Brain Academy

Donkey Kong Barrel Blast

Big Brain Academy

Mario Strikers

Link's Crossbow Training

In other words, Nintendo is releasing almost as low as 1/3rd the games they were releasing on the Wii, and the games that they are releasing are NO WHERE NEAR as good; especially considering that Wii had multiple flagship titles during its first year, and Wii U won't have any true flagship titles until 2015 when Mario Galaxy 3 (supposedly) and Zelda U get released.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
