Since the E3 reveal Nintendo got their marketing completely wrong. They were only presenting the new tablet controller, which, with all factors combined, only reinforced the perception that it is only a new controller add-on instead of a whole new system.
And people claiming that it is clear that the WiiU is Wii 2 obviously have little touch with the mainstream market. I bet that at least 80% of Wii userbase don't hang out on gaming sites.
