You should never forget the past.. But learn from it and more importantly: give it a place in your past and move on to the future.. Yes a lot of people are backstabbing a holes.. Be better then them.. Never be like them.. If you go to college and make new friends threat them like you always do with respect and friendship.. And never measure them against your old backstabbing friends..
Be open to them, don't be scared.. Its not easy to gain really good friends.. Just get to know some people first.. It evolves from time.. Be patient. We will be here in the meantime if you need an ear to talk to
