YES! I should have added that. I want to utilize my main team without the HM slaves (no offense to HM slave lovers). Yeah, I see what you mean. Give us like a raft, a flute calling Pidgeot, hedge cutters, etc. The AI I wish was tied into difficulty. Hard Mode would yield smarter AI. I used to grind to level 10 before gym leaders, but I soon realized after Gen 4 that, that makes the game even easier. I feel Game Freak, should cater to both demographics, I mean there should be more than one option. Let the younger people have the "easy mode" and give us vets a hard mode. Win win! Hopefully the listen and make is a standard. I was annoyed that they gave us a "Hard Mode" and then nothing even close in Gen 6; it's like regression. |
@underlined: Well, maybe still have those moves for the pokemon, but instead have them hold this ability like holding an item. But, yeah, a raft for swimming would be pretty cool too! Or maybe buy a boat like in RSE!!
@bold: That's pretty much where Pokemon started to become much easier. R/S/E were the last one's where I actually was worried about leveling up. Now, it's like I level up with no effort at all. Even without the Exp Share on, I level up so easily in X/Y, I don't see any way anyone can defend this.
@bold italic : I think they believe in "getting harder near the end", similar to how Nintendo does things for some of their games. GameFreak is lazy. They can make entire worlds, animations, and 3D Models, yet they can't modify trainers with different Pokemon, levels and attacks? Geesh, I understand that they want to cater to "everyone".....but they're not actually doing that, they're forgetting the people who want a more difficult game. Us veteran Pokemon players (at least I hope so) want Pokemon to be more difficult.
