yeah, i think people should be held accountable for their votes. that way the scores aren't totally fanboy biased.
do keep in mind the selection bias though. "normal people" (non-fanboys) tend to vote for things they like rather than dislike.
as to getting 9's and 10's: that's fine. let the "professional reviewers" decide what makes a game perfect. i'm voting entirely on the amount of fun i get of a game--that's how i perceive games should be--ergo, i gave 10's to Wii Sports and Warioware.
my lowest score is 7 so far. i get such horrible motion sickness from Zelda TW i would give it a 1, but my selection bias comes in--the "feel bad about giving Zelda a 1" made me not voting for it at all.
EDIT: by "accountable" i was thinking if you look up people's profile you should be able to see how they rated for the games.
the Wii is an epidemic.
