Can anyone vote on games posted in the New Games Section??

If so we will have visitors messing with reviews, I think it should be based to this site, and only over a certain amount of posts. reason being, there are a lot of people voting on 10's even 9's, some deserve, but there is a way too high voting, 10 implies perfect, and in school/workplace, no one is perfect, these are rare games that are perfect, so lets keep the voting legit and honest!

Well the feature just launched, I think in a couple weeks most games will have enough votes to even out their scores and make them more accurate.

@Blones, I agree, when I searched for just PS3 games, a lot of them had ratings of about 3 or 4, so I think some people just didn't like the PS3, so just went and gave them really bad scores, I mean R:FOM had a rating of about 5, and that's one of the best FPS recently, yeah it's not the best out there, but it deserves better than 50%.

After more than 4/5 people have rated them though, it will even out to a more reasonable score. Also people tend to rate classic games higher, which it why Pokemon Red was high for ages because it was a classic, even though by todays standard its pretty rubbish, just compare it to the latest Pokemon games.

yeah, i think people should be held accountable for their votes. that way the scores aren't totally fanboy biased.

do keep in mind the selection bias though. "normal people" (non-fanboys) tend to vote for things they like rather than dislike.

as to getting 9's and 10's: that's fine. let the "professional reviewers" decide what makes a game perfect. i'm voting entirely on the amount of fun i get of a game--that's how i perceive games should be--ergo, i gave 10's to Wii Sports and Warioware.

my lowest score is 7 so far. i get such horrible motion sickness from Zelda TW i would give it a 1, but my selection bias comes in--the "feel bad about giving Zelda a 1" made me not voting for it at all.

EDIT: by "accountable" i was thinking if you look up people's profile you should be able to see how they rated for the games.
