As long as they came out with a bang with their next console, not to mention release all the games they've announced for the Wii U, I could understand.
What I think Nintendo should do is pull a MS move with the original Xbox. Ride it out for a four year lifespan and pull out all the stops for the next iteration in 2015. Look at how the original Xbox did - 23 million, compared to nearly 80 million and climbing for its successor. Nintendo can rebound in the same way.. assuming they understand their problems and WHY it was that the Wii U failed.
Nintendo needs to go back to their more simplistic, arcadey roots, with cheaper hardware. This is the direction they went in with the Wii, and look at the success it achieved. Nintendo since then has gone back to their more niche Gamecube style of games, hence the poor, Gamecube style sales..
