The concept of OUYA wasn't bad, but it was horribly executed, and maybe even ahead of its time. At this point, there is no need for an android based console. Within six months, no one will care about it at all, and within a year it will probably be hard to find. I would love if a new console could exist, but it won't be the OUYA that's the game changer. The best chance of a game changer, at this point, is the steam box.

Hmm, yeah. I love Valve and everything they do and I will be getting SteamOS and possibly a Steambox. Honestly though, I'm not so sure that either will be a massive success. For now, I'm hoping that SteamOS will really take off and become huge.

I'm not the OUYA was a good concept at all, home consoles have so many features now and phones/tablets and PC's can do pretty much everything else. The market has moved gradually away from MP3 players, pocket cameras and other dedicated devices and moved on to multitasking devices with more features, the OUYA seems to go somewhat against the trend in this regard and as a "dedicated" device, it sports weak hardware and is prone to the same replacements as smartphones and other, similar products.

Personally, I think the OUYA was a bad idea from the beginning.
