It "deserves" the massive sales it gets.

Revolution huh? Is that why every major game made today is geared towards motion controls? A revolution entails a tangible, actually adopted solution or lasting change with enormous impact. The Wii's impact seems to have been very small in the long run.

I'm not going to say what it deserves and not, that's hardly an argument worth having anyways, but the revolution was more a temporary hype, the industry standard was largely unaffected the same and the controller market is moving towards and has been moving towards touch controls for a long time, not motion controls. For the record, I think touch controls are shit...
