| Zekkyou said: The Vita is never going to beat the 3DS, that would take some voodoo shit. All anyone can hope is that it does well enough for Sony to justify making another handheld one day. To be honest i think they were pretty "doomed" from the start :P Nintendo played it very safe with the 3DS, which was a wise choice this time round. |
I disagree. The 3ds was dead for a while. I mean dead dead. It didn't have as bad of sales as the Wii U, granted, but in proximety to the success of the 360/ps3/wii/ds when it first came out (compared to the mediocrity of those consoles sales now) it was probably proportionally worse off than the wii u has been for a while. It's hardware means nothing. All people (including myself) care about are pricing and games with the familiar characters when it comes to Nintendo. I feel confident that Nintendo could pump out a 64 bit handheld console for $30 and $5 N64 games (redesigned for the handheld) and it would sell like crazy.
When it comes to Nintendo, nobody cares about graphics or hardware. It could be amazing looking or visually underwhelming, as long as it's cheap and has the usual games it will do well.
