That is Nintendo's way of throwing the towel while trying to save face.

WiiU...the "U" was supposed to mean a Wii for "YOU" and at the time of its announcement the "YOU" meant for gamers. Nintendo knows it lost that demographic (well, a large part of it). Now they are back to the family demographic, giving up on the "high skilled" players until next year. I just think they gave up, accepted reality and try to get back the Wii casual crowd to increase profits.

Maybe I'm just ranting, but I am a bit frustrated by Nintendo's apparent lack of support for a console I was excited about.
