If NPD numbers cause vgchartz to retract theirs then I will gladly uncross it.  I rather act sooner then later for this one because the holiday will soon be upon us and muddle things up, making it harder to determine whether its the holiday spiking WiiU sales or the pricecut.

Yes but would you buy a WiiU when you here a great value coming in 2-3 weeks? it showed in japan. Its not like the price cut was months ago, and beside price cut did help in US.
