If the wii u was selling less now than it was in June I would considered it doomed. The fact that it is selling 200% better without any major games indicates differently.

Many will point to a price cut but even here I have my doubts regarding how much that helped considering the wii u was being sold well below the RRP because it was doing so badly. In the UK a black wii u was £250.00 on Amazon in June. After the price cut it is currently £245. I got my deluxe for £199 brand new and could have got another from Asda for the same price.

As more people come to accept that the wii u is not the wii with a tablet, that it is superior to current gen and not as distant to the next-gen as the wii was (more so if it does 1080@60 on games like bayonetta 2) it will sell well. It's not going to set the world alight but should return Nintendo to the black.

Oh yeah, if they released quality games more consistently it would help.
