Ugh, no. The only people who would gain from that would be Microsoft.
They would have no creative freedom, see Rare.
The games wouldnt sell as much.
No more modding community.
Would be a good buy for the Xbox brand, would be bad for pretty much everyone else. If they were to buy someone a better proposition would be a 3rd party who they already have working relationships with like Epic.
