I myself just rushed through the game and never touched it again. While it was fun while it lasted, I was never tempted to go back to it. That's pretty different from earlier Mario games. In fact, my 3DS says that I played more Super Mario Land on it than Mario 3D Land.
I don't know, I just have the feeling that something is missing in this game. That special thing that blew your mind in earlier Mario games. It feels like a Best of Mario without offering something truly unique. While I don't want to say it's a bad game, it defintely kinda blows when compared to other titles in the series.
I, personally, would give it something around 7.5 or so. Not bad, but the magic just ain't there.
As for your review, too much description, too less opinion in my eyes. When I read a review, I don't want to know what exactly I'm doing in a game. I want to know if it's any fun. I don't know, especially since I read "biased review", I was kinda looking forward to it. Because I hate the term "unbiased review". There is no unbiased review. Ever. It's not possible as long as a human is writing it. I don't know, some core elements could be mentioned in a list or something. Like the genre, play time, how many levels, that kind of stuff. But don't mind me, I don't want to tell you how to make your reviews. I'm just saying what I'm thinking.
