When the production of the WiiU MCM will get cheaper, they could think about packing it with a larger chunck of DDR3 or GDDR5 RAM and and an AMD APU, then they could sell it like a WiiU that can also run SteamOS (just like the Ps3 could originally run yellowdog).
It wouldn't be much cost effective but it would make happy some of the costumers who want to play 3rd party games.
