Before WW:HD, the WiiU could barely sell over 10k a week, now it has sold around 30k for 3 weeks in a row. Still not brilliant numbers, and we can't say for sure if it will last, but does it means that the WiiU is slowly setting it's foot in NA? With Sonic and SM3DW coming out means that the system is safe from total flop? I still don't think it will ever become a huge system that Ninty will be proud of, but I think it's safe and on it's way towards a ''okay'' future.
Also, WiiU still FAR behind in Europe (around 800k vs 1.9mil) and in Japan (around 1mil vs 1.8mil).

your example is kinda lame lol. Vita/3DS/PS3/X360/WiiU/PS4/DS/Etc are all gaming consoles. Why wouldn't we compare. PS3 surpassed PSP last week, Did you give an example like this^?

No, handhelds are NOT consoles. Stop calling them gaming "consoles". They are gaming "handhelds". Sales can't be compared because handhelds don't compete against consoles.
A good metaphore would be comparing motorcycle sales to automobiles. Both of them do the same thing, but don't compete. That's why you don't compare sales.

They dont have exactly the same market but same difference. People/Analyst/etc compare them all the time. We do it here all the time too. Both first priority is to play games, gaming devices same thing!!!

If you take a look at this site, on the front page, the color coded bar graphics are clearly divided. Consoles are on the left, handhelds, on the right. Like I said earlier, would you compare sales of motorcycles to cars? You seem like an intelligent guy, so I sure hope the answer is "no".
