I don't miss it because it's sitting under my living room TV right now (well OK, the Wii is, but same difference).
I DO miss being able to play my Wii games with a GC controller, although I was smart enough to copy all of the Wii games that didn't have online save data to an SD card before transferring them to the Wii U, then copying them back to the Wii. It's so easy to forget how wonderful that controller is until you're deprived of it.
Coincedentally, I've been on a mission lately to sell a bunch of my GC games to upgrade them to newer versions. Just sold Wind Waker yesterday for $25 to wait for the Wii U version to go on sale in a few years. Trying to find someone to give Resident Evil 4 to so I can justify getting the Wii version. Trying to sell the three Metroid Primes at $10 apiece so I can get the trilogy all on one disc.
