A few of those who don't have a PS3/360 will buy it at $50, while a few more will wait until the price is reduced. Again, what has the publisher lost?

If you don't like the price, then wait. It's what everyone else does when a game is released.

So, by the extension of your logic: Every single third party publisher should abandon the Vita and put the games on the 3DS because it is likely that the poeple who don´t own a 3DS (but do own a Vita) are a small minority ?

Or is that a different case because hurr durr Sony ?
