Essentially it was Nintendo's fault and it still is. I used to believe third parties were picking on them and singling them out for no reason until I actually looked up the history of Nintendo. Even when they had the third parties if you look up their history, they still had iron fist tactics because of lack of competition from Sega. The problem is that a lot of third party devs have grown resentful of Nintendo's closed off "my way or the highway" tactic in doing business. In a way they are becoming every bit as bad as Nintendo ALWAYS was when it comes to partnerships. If the money is there they will not desert Nintendo. Look at the 3DS, it has plenty of games. Look at the Vita, it has very few. Do you hear Sony owners bitching? No. They know it's all Sony's fault.
