Incorrect. 

The Wii lasted 6 years. That is a normal, healthy console lifespan. A fad would have been two or three years.

The Wii's success lasted hyped success lasted four years (2006-2010). Once the Kinect came out the casual hype moved over to MS for two years (2010-2012). 

LOL, so the  16 million Wiis sold since 2010 magically don't count?
