Of those listed I'd probably go with Greninja, Aegislash, Garchomp, Gardevoir, Charizard, and Jolteon. All different types and they can all cover for each others weaknesses. |

And I Tried the "go for female" starter thing, didn't work. After a dozen tries, it just didn't work.
