They are just talking about the openness of the level. You can actually explore each sector that they allow freely until you get to the next part of the story. I like the concept. I agree that Crysis is all sorts of boring. I don't find KZ to be boring though and I've always wanted more additions to the campaign so this is welcomed if anyone but Crytek is behind it.
