Lightning struk the transformer that feeds our house, thankfully we have a well so it usually takes most of the damage. But the harddrive was fryed, and the WiiU ran fine for weeks until I connected the new Harddrive to it to redownload all my software. But it is fixed, lost all my save data, haven't checked my Wii software yet, but judging for the eShop at least the purchases are counted towards the upgrade discount.
