I think he is clearly talking about the announcement period. Ms are in a decent groove now IMO. Decent marketing is hitting, good previews of all the exclusives that are shaping up VERY nicely.

Personally, I'm pretty much over the whole 'console war' thing.  I think all three consoles will do well this generation, as they are all appealing to different demographics.  Just because I See nothing in the Xbox One I personally care for doesn't mean it's a bad system, it's just clearly not for me.  

Already got a WiiU with all the fixin's and a PS4 on pre-order.  that'll cover 90% of my gaming this generation, leaving only Steam for indies and exclusives, and maybe an Xbox One for the system's exclusives.
