I disagree on Mario. With the next gen consoles coming soon, the excitement for Mario is way lower than previous interations. When the excitement dies down however, and the Wii U picks up and hits its "stride", Mario sales will steady out and get better. Expect a small launch though.
Zelda won't do very well in my opinion. It's not named pokemon.

Considering the crazy install base of the 3DS, Zelda will not sell to expectations. That sounds odd, but trust me, I know these things.
It's unfortunate, because Zelda looks like a much better game than X/Y for me.

ok but wat is expectation? Thats wat im asking? XY and LoZ look to be one of the best in their franchises and definitely both top 5 on 3ds of all time. Anyway i dont get wat you mean? How much does it need to sell?

Well, to be successful on the 3DS and on, say the vita, are two different things. The game will deserve 5+ mil sales and could easily do that on the 3ds with the install base. However, I just don't believe the 3ds audience will go crazy for a good zelda game. The reason the DS Zelda games sold a lot is due to the wind waker style visuals. They catered to the main DS audience.

ok 5mil is way to good. Anything under 2mil WW is a dissapointment. 2mil-3mil would be an average 3mil-4mil would be great 4mil+ would be fantastic. My question to you is how much do you think it'll sell lifetime?
