GameFreak doesn't want to make a main series game on home console, and you don't want to play one, even if you think you do. If you have an issue with the series, take it up with the developer, not Nintendo. GameFreak is still relatively autonomous for a subsidiary.
And you should have messed around with the online features more. X/Y basically is an MMO.
