I have to disagree. The speed leveles on Sonic adventure 2 were a joy to play. I dont know what was wrong with those that led to them trying to redefine the gameplay.

Of course, 2D Sonic is pretty good aswell though.


There will never be a 3D version that is as beloved as the top three. You can rant that would just make it that much more crazy.

Do you mean the first 3 games on the mega drive/genesis? Those are definitly my favorite ones. Maybe i wasnt very clear. I love most of all the 2D Sonic gameplay on Sonic 1 to 3 + Knuckles and Sonic CD.

From the 3D gameplay, i think Sonic adventure 2 was the pinnacle of the series and it got worse since. I havent tried this new game yet though.

Ideally i would like for SEGA to continue the Sonic "4" franchise with a proper full game instead of droplet digital games and the 3D Series with Sonic adventure. I dislike how childish they are making Sonic. Sonic was always aimed at a teenager croud. SEGA is trying to follow Nintendo and Mario, but i doubt that will work. They need direction and have a 2D and a 3D series of games would be the best for Sonic just like it is for Mario.


Top 3 as in the first game, the seccond and the third. Sega Generations was great, but thats about it for me.
