Only the 'hardcore gamers' were saying that. Everyone else was loving the Wii Remote. After playing RE4 with Wii controls who wanted to go back to a GameCube controller? 

The gamepad is the opposite of the Wii Remote; hardcore love it everyone else doesn't. JGarret even asking this question illustrates exactly why the Gamepad is not a gamechanger

Lol. Perhaps take your own advice. Wii U has issues keeping it from success. Like any addicted person, the faster a person admits they have a problem the better. Sticking your head in the sand believing Wii U is just misunderstood isn't doing Nintendo any favors.
