Interesting, I still think it will outsell the PS3/PS4/One versions in WW lifetime sales.
Just Dance is a slow burner, it doesnt have huge debuts but sells very well over the holidays. Just Dance 3 has sold nearly 10m on Wii alone but only sold 138k first week and by the end of the holidays it was 7.3m. Just Dance 4 was similar, first week sales of 64k but within 3 months was well over 5m.
If Wii U has a strong holiday then Just Dance is one of the titles I see benefitting from it. This holiday period has a few other games that appeal to that sort of crowd, namely Wii Fit and Zumba World, so I can see the Wii U version legging it out to being the 2nd or 3rd highest selling version. Obviously Wii will be first and 360 could beat it as well.

As somebody who has play the Wii and Xbox 360 Kinect version, I just don't see how holding a controller is going to outsell controller free for next gen. Granted the last version was not supposed to track either console that well. Hopefully they will have done a better job on the Xbox One. They do get a good selection of fun music.
But now it doesn't have any competion from another Dance Central on the Xbox. Its the only dance game on the new Xbox One.

I could be wrong but I just dont see the Just Dance type of crowd willing to spend $500 on a console even if it has the best version of the game.

(Just went an played it again on the Xbox 360) It's really a simple and casual game. The way it 'tracks' you is still more like how the Wii does it (where you hit certain poses at certain parts.)
I would say it's got better music than Dance Center (some 'music' that I do better when I mute it), but doesn't track as well. But Dance Central will also teach and guide you. I didn't see this in Just Dance 4.
I tend to agree with you. It looks like it could be a fun party game. With an emphasis on the simple and silly side.
