The OP would be exactly right if the Xbox1 was cheaper, it isn't.

Being about the same when you cost more is only going to work if people really want Kinect, if they don't then you are about the same for 100 dollars more. This is a loss every time when talking about the non-core gamers.

$500 is going to hurt Xbox1.

So, the issue is price justice(?). Even that till now we haven´t see any prove of a vast performance descrepancy?

Ok, tell that to the 9mi people that bought a iPhone 5s first week when many Androids are still "theoreticaly" more powerful and cheaper.

The issue here is the so-called graphics war and the evidence thus far that there is going to be no significant difference between the two systems despite the difference on paper.  This parity could be a claimed victory if the Xbox1 was providing better value while still providing the same quality graphics i.e. a relative victory.  This value could be in the form of a lower price or higher overall perceived value by the consumer e.g. Kinect 2.

At the moment the price advantage is with Sony, with the value-add for Kinect 2 yet to be determined, so to claim this as a graphics war victory is premature.  If the Xbox1 dominates the PS4 in sales in it's opening week then we can revisit claims of a (relative) graphics war victory.
