Wii U doesn't need GTA to succeed, but it wouldn't hurt having a Rockstar game on the Wii U either. This December will be a huge indicator as to where the Wii U is gonna end up in a few years.

As far as kids playing rated M games, I was maybe 8 or 9 when I played GTA III and I believe I turned out right haven't chopped anyone's head off or shot someone in their faces, thanks to great role models and parents.

GTA 3 and GTA 5 cant be compared.

Seriously they cant. GTA5 crosses so many lines its not even funny.

Yeah they definitely can be compared, the cussing the violence the mission names: http://www.grandtheftwiki.com/Don't_Spank_Ma_Bitch_Up Granted I'm not saying that a kid can play a game like GTA and it not have an effect on him, but it's also possible with proper parenting that the kid knows not to cuss, and not to use violence or anything depicted in GTA.

On a pure language usage basis, sure.

But in a broader sense of distastefulness, GTAV's narrative goes to darker places. Which I believe has spark some of the (typical) controversy surrounding it. Which, actually, concerns the subtext of the OP.
