Yeah, I have a feeling it might be similar to this, (from the 1 in-game screen shot that's out there. lol). I personally HATED FFXII's combat system, for once you don't feel the need to actually do anything at all in a battle, you feel grossly left out.
Although this might just turn FF into Star Ocean combat system in a way. lol (not that I'm complaining)
