No. Nintendo said they reduce the stream to 2 different 720p images at 60 fps per image when you use 2 GamePads locally.
Nintendo said they stream an actually 1080p image at 60 fps onto the 480p pixel count screen when you use 1 GamePad controller.
Thats what the guy from Nintendo of Japan said. The one who's name starts with an E. I'm not good with all Japanese names.
