Where do they get these random processor names from?!  I was interested in the Surface Pro before but never bought one.  Still happy with my Nexus and my laptop.  If the price is right, I may make a switch this holiday season.  The complaints are nothing I really think will bother me.

Intel thinks them up!  They have a whole list.

They come in pairs, the first one being the change in architecture, the second one begin an upgrade in the manufacturing to a smaller process, which in theory makes them use less power and less expensive silicon as they can fit into a smaller space.  They are still calling them 'Core Ix' in the market, but the give way is '3rd generation', '4th generation' and stuff like that.

last few:

Sandy Bridge (New Architecture) 2011 32nm

Ivory Bridge (Die Shrink) 2012 a better Sandy Bridge 22nm

Now:

Haswell (New Architecture) 2013, still 22nm

Broadwell (the next one, upgrade in a smaller manufacturing process 14nm.) estimated 2014.  Basically a better version of the Haswell.

Note average human blood cell is about 6000 - 8000 nm.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!
