Even with the bad mistakes they make plenty of good decisions as well. With the bad that we got with the GC, they still dug their way out and made the Wii and DS. With the bad start of the 3DS, here we are now. You can respect them as a company I think ,even if you do not like playing their games any more. Nintendo games are kind of exciting by themselves anyways. Just to see all the hoopla surrounding them and all the rumors that go with it. Despite some thinking of them as kiddie, it is still a lot of fun to read about Nintendo. Pezus is learning this I think. |
Most people think Nintendo is kiddie, not some people. Some people KNOW nintendo is not just for kids. Most cannot be blamed for thinking that though because children and families are Nintendos primary focal demographic. Problem with Nintendo is that the kids are growing up and the image is still the same rather than unified around keeping the gamers who grew up with them.
I don't really read about Nintendo, theres nothing exciting to really talk about rather than just to see what they create and play it. Theres no in depth storylines, no stars or actors, the gameplay is fairly simple. Its just simple fun really, nothing more, nothing less.

Simple gameplay? Pokemon is an incredibly deep game that can be discussed endlessly and played at a very high level. Wonderful 101 is another example of a rich game with tons of depth to its gameplay. Kid Icarus Uprising, Smash Bros, Fire Emblem Awakening, Pokemon Conquest, and so on so forth. Xenoblade, and presumably X, has a great story, as does Fire Emblem Awakening. Same for Last Story. It might not a super serious end of the world story but Kid Icarus Uprising and Mario and Luigi have wonderfully fun stories with cleverness to spare. Even something like Lego City, a loving parody of action movies, has a really fun story to it. Nintendo makes lots of games with depth in gameplay and story.
Oh, and when kids grow up, there are more kids. Until the radiation makes us all sterile, they're not running out.
