I don't recall PS3 fans being told by BioWare that if they want ME on PS3 to ask MS for it...and to ask for Halo while they are at it.

No this is exactly what Microsoft said about Mass Effect the first: “The original Mass Effect is absolutely an Xbox 360 exclusive, making Xbox 360 the only place to get the full Mass Effect experience.”

We all know how that turned out.  Though I do agree it's not leaving the Wii U.  But not because Nintendo says so.
