They weren't in the first two games but, for 3/4 of the audience (there's a PC version, right? I don't know.) the mode IS in this game. I hate to be on the short end of the stick. Truth be told, I'll probably still get the Wii U version and there's a chance I'd never play the multi-player mode of the game even if it were included. Unless it's an FPS, racer or fighter, I tend to avoid that mode. But I still don't want to be short changed!
