spend more money on more powerful hardware which will result in more losses and less Nintendovaton

that BS about third parties wanting them to involve them more than they are doing is just that, a bunch of BS! look at EAs butthurtiness for example. first it was unprecedented support to no support at all because they didn't listen to them and used origin as their mane online infrastructure. If you ask me the less EA was involved with Nintendoes online stuff the more support they would have gotten from them.

All console manufacturers are going to profit much earlier than last gen on their tech. Nintendos for the last two gens has kept their consoles at just above the graphics of the passing generation. The Wii was slightly higher than the seventh generation and the Wii U is slightly higher than the eight. the Problem is the tablet adds to the cost. Nintendo bet on the wrong horse and has already failed at gaining the crowd they wanted for the Wii U. It was supposed to attract the casuals but it didn't so you have a console that close enough in price to the coming next gen consoles and in most cases its going to be overlooked, just like the N64 and Gamecube were because it lacks third party and its a gen behind in graphics. The Wii U failed in their second endeavor which was to gain back the hardcore gamers lost after the SNES era to Sony and of whom Sony has massively increased the marketshare of. Now Microsoft and Sony share that solid share of the market that likes third party titles, FPS and all of those other games. The next gen consoles have already staked their claim on most of those people. Nintendo will profit but they will most likely sell between Gamecube or slightly higher than N64 numbers.
