I have said it before, Nintendo could have the best hardware available,everthing 3rd parties need, but still wouldnt sway fans of rival companies to jump ship. They have their own stance on Nintendo and nothing would change that. Having hardware that is cheaper to produce, profitable (or possibly breaking even) and huge first party software sales will always be Nintendos bread and butter. |
Nintendo tried to do two things in this new generation:
1) Find a new way to get the casuals to come back and game using devices they are already familiar with.
2) Get back the hardcore gamers that were not present during the Wii generation.
Nintendo, technically speaking hasn't had the best all around hardware/software combo available since the SNES era. If they did they would've still had the third parties.
